Over the past couple of years, we've been humbled that so many of you have chosen our tributes to the most iconic instruments to have graced the stage with the Grateful Dead.
The On-Board Effects Loop is perhaps the most exciting feature about these guitars, but it wasn't Wolf or Tiger that first had the privilege of showcasing this innovative system. In 1976, on stage at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, the OBEL made its debut installed in a Travis Bean TB500.
The original TB500 #12 was used almost exclusively between '76 and '77, and for a slew of performances and recordings after that. It went on to be sold at auction for a quarter of a million dollars, but this is your chance to own a faithful reproduction at a substantially lower price. We've had TONS of requests to make a tribute to this one... so here it is!
The ETB500 pays tribute to the original in almost every detail*, including OBEL and individual on/off switches for the pickups. It is built at our top factory in Korea - you will NOT be disappointed in the quality.
*NOTE* This release features a set maple neck, not aluminum.
