Customer Experiences

My name is Drew. I have G.A.S. I made the decision to stop buying guitars. Then I came across the Eastwood Mandocaster. It’s not a “guitar” right? So first 4/5 for ease of ordering on the Eastwood Website. I’ll get to the lost star in a second. 5/5 for delivering pretty much when they said they would. I ordered in February, they had it here in May (as promised). Now, long before fellow Canadian Dave Carroll and his band, “Sons of Maxwell” wrote “United Breaks Guitars” most of us have had a concern about getting any musical Instrument via “the “mail”. No worries with Eastwood. In fact, if I could, I’d give a 6/5 for shipping. When it was shipped I received an email indicating it was on its way. Then I got an email saying it had been reversed or something. Then I got an email from UPS saying the Customs Tax was due. So I paid it, and there still seemed to be a problem. So I contacted Eastwood. “Info” was very prompt in getting back to me. The email read “that shouldn’t happen because the Customs Tax is built in and paid before shipping.” What I paid to UPS was refunded immediately. Hence 6/5 for “Free Shipping and Delivery” When it arrived I opened it up my heart sank a little. Now, the quality, fit, finish, and set up was equal to, or exceeded, anything I’ve received from the “Big F”. But the colour was off...I’d ordered “Vintage Cream” (to match my various shades of white guitars ... a touch of O.C.D. along with the G.A.S.) and to my eye it was leaning towards “dusty rose” or “somewhat melted creamsicle”. So I contacted “Vince”... (we’d had enough email exchanges to be on a first name basis.) (This past Monday) He said sometimes there can be a variation from the pic to reality (which I get)...so that is where the lost star went...but...he didn’t argue me! I sent a pic of the Mando and a couple of my guitars. Vince said would you like a white one and return the vintage cream? Yes! All I had to do was pay the shipping and customs. (Monday) So I did. 5/5 on customer service. It is on its way. I have no worries or doubts it will arrive in perfect order. The little spin of serendipity to this story, from a global perspective is , Vince lives pretty much right around the corner from me. I’m dropped Mando #1 off Tuesday. Mando #2 delivered today...Thursday. Bottom line...Eastwood is building exceptional instruments, and they deliver on all their promises. Guaranteed means something with these folks. Got G.A.S? IF only I could find a Mando OHC....

I am a huge tele fan so this was right up my alley and having seafoam green as an option sold me. I wasn’t sure what kind of quality it would have but I was pleasantly surprised at how well built it is. The mandocaster is very solid and the quality is spot on. The recessed neck screws were a nice detail also. It played great and the intonation was right on the money right out of the box. Having a bridge where I can adjust the string height and intonation myself is a huge plus. Plugging in was the final test and it sounded full and clear on all 3 switch positions with the neck pickup being my favorite. The Eastwood was half the cost of my other mandolin and twice the quality and value. Well done!

The best electric mandolin ive ever played. the neck feels so good and de intonation/action was perfect and a good weight. it gives me the feeling of a little tele instead of a mandolin. the only thing is the high e string with a weak volume... but that is my experience with all the electric mandolins. i love this intrument and im very happy with it
